Spanish giants Barcelona have given themselves a great chance of reaching the 2017/18 Champions League semi final after beating Roma 4-1 on Wednesday night, April 4.
But the Italian club will have themselves to blame for this embarrassing defeat at Camp Nou as two of the four goals they conceded were own goals.
Barcelona started the match impressive, but the visitors gave them no chance in the first twenty minutes as the duo of Lionel Messi and Suarez could not break their defense.
Daniele D Rossi caused the first trouble for Roma in the 38th minute when he scored against his own goalkeeper Alisson Becker to give Barcelona the lead.
Konstantinos Manolas scored the second own goal in the 55th minutes before defender Gerard Pique netted the third goal for Barcelona in the 59th minute.
Edin Dzeko pulled one back for the visitors in the 80th minute after being set up by Diego Perotti, but Barcelona refused to give them any other chance to score as the match ended 4-1 thanks to the late goal scored by Suarez..
Roma will now need a 3-0 win in the second leg in front of their fans for them to qualify for the semi final.
In the second game played on Wednesday night, Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-0 at Anfield.
